Dashboard with 3-way-soundsystem

Because of only little room in the Smart fortwo, a soundsystem for the dashboard has been developed. As extravagant design element with a very detailed constuction, the Dashboard integrates a complete 3-way system in the cockpit. The grills are separated and covered with lightfast acoustic cloth. The standard colour of the Dashboard and the cloth is black.

Four 165mm (6,5″) JEHNERT Power-Woofer and a high-quality Coaxial system altogether are calibrated exactly to in in-car acoustics and offer a powerful and very lively sound presentation.

Exclusive double-bass doorboards are enobling the series optics with a perfect fit. A special angled midrange speaker is positioned between the two woofers. The grills are covered with hard-wearing cloth.

An exact acoustical fine-tuning and the optimal postion of the speakers are standing for sensational sound results with a perfect sound staging • 100mm (4″) High-End midrange driver in the doorboard • 26mm (1″) Neodymium-Dome tweeter integrated in the door lining – we do not recommend to use the original position of the tweeter because of unfavourable sound throw.
